Mini Projects

As part of the experience, we regularly write code. We do this for research-specific tasks, like running simulations to get some numerical results on a problem we are interested in, for learning how to apply mathematical ideas and theory in code. We also do this for fun.

Creating first species counterpoint using Glauber dynamics, Jonah Botvinick-Greenhouse, Rachel Tan, and Oliver Vanderberg

MCMC solver for the 15 puzzle,  Jonah Green and Mark Kong

MC animated logo, Connor Fitch and Taylor Meredith

MCMC function optimization, Phil Speegle
